What Is a Cavity?
A cavity develops in your teeth in the form of a physical hole. The basic reason for cavities is erosion in the outer layer of the tooth enamel. This erosion is caused by germs. These germs secrete acid byproducts (germ poop) when they break down food particles. These acids slowly remove the tooth enamel and finally create a hole in it.
Cavities usually develop in the form of dark triangles on your teeth. Since cavities between your teeth cannot be detected by naked eyes, dentists use the help of X-rays. Food particles very often get trapped between the gums and teeth. This gradually leads to bleeding gums and subsequent gum disease.
Cavities when once develop between teeth, gradually they start to expand. The triangular shaped cavities will reach the next layer of the tooth and later become larger inside the tooth. As the layer of tooth structure is soft, cavities grow further.

You should brush your teeth for two minutes every day. Likewise, flossing between the teeth also should be made a regular habit. Through these regular practices, you can prevent the accumulation of dental plaque, thereby you can prevent acids from wearing through the enamel of teeth. Baby Teeth Cavity
Don’t think that cavities do not attack babies. Any baby, infant, or toddler with teeth is susceptible to dental cavities. The most unfortunate thing is that tooth decay in primary or baby teeth can spread extremely quickly. Quicker than in permanent adult teeth.
